Is WebP better than JPG?
Almost always. WebP compresses 25–35% better than JPG at equivalent visual quality. Supported by every modern browser. AVIF compresses even more but support isn't 100% yet.
What does PNG "lossless" mean?
Reorganizing pixels to find the most compact representation without losing any information. Typically saves 10–30% with zero quality impact.
Is my image uploaded?
No. Everything happens via Canvas API in the browser. The image lives in your tab. Close it and it's gone.
Max size?
Up to ~50 MB without issues. Above that depends on your RAM — Canvas API has per-browser limits.
