Why Lorem Ipsum and not English?
Latin has letter distribution close to English/Spanish without distracting the eye with recognizable words. The client looks at hierarchy, not at content. But if you prefer English, we have it too.
Where does the original text come from?
A fragment of Cicero's "De finibus bonorum et malorum" (45 BC), scrambled to be illegible. It's been used for mockups since the 16th century.
Does it generate valid HTML?
Yes. HTML mode wraps each paragraph in `<p>` and optionally interleaves `<h2>`, `<ul>`, `<blockquote>`. Ready to paste into a layout.
Is it always the same text?
Always starts with "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet…" if you toggle that, then random. Regenerate as many times as you want.
